Dan Cavallaro

Dan is a life long experienced and avid firearm enthusiast, hunter and outdoorsman. Dan’s primary background is in the medical field where he acquired over 20 years of extensive experience in the areas of trauma, cardiac, critical care medicine and medical research. He developed state wide revolutionary medical training programs for physicians, nurses and paramedics, co-authored over 14 medical educational books and study guides, published several scientific articles that changed national standards in medicine, and developed several medical procedures and products.

For eleven years, Dan functioned as the senior team member of an aeromedical critical care team that conducted world-wide medical evacuations. He participated in over 300 missions worldwide at times in very remote and hostile environments, including Haiti, Nicaragua, the Middle East, Russia, and South America.

Dan has taken numerous tactical pistol and carbine classes from a variety of highly skilled instructors. He is a NRA Firearms instructor and former Certified State of Georgia as a classroom and range firearms instructor and a US Conceal Carry Affiliate Instructor. He is an instructor in urban survival, and a Team member and contributing author of SurvivalCache.com, and SHTFBlog.com. He has authored numerous articles on Personal Protection, Situational Awareness, Fear, Urban Survival, First Aid, and Get Home and Bug Out Bags. Dan teaches Basic and Defensive Pistol Classes and is the primary author of the only book on Georgia Weapons Laws.
