Head of Security Research for Radware’s Emergency Response Team
As the Head of Security Research for Radware’s Emergency Response Team, Mr. Smith is responsible for proactively researching network and application based vulnerabilities while working with the ERT-SOC to provide immediate and direct support for customers under attack.
Daniel Smith has worked in the information Security field for 5 years and is a dedicated member of the threat intelligence community. In 2015 Mr. Smith joined Radware’s Research division where he applies his unique expertise and intimate knowledge of the tools, techniques and procedures used by cyber criminals to help Radware develop signatures and mitigate attacks for its customers. As part of Radware’s Security Research team Mr. Smith actively surveys the deepweb and darkweb for meaningful and actionable intelligence.
This year, Mr. Smith has spoken at Tactical Edge in Bogota Colombia about the Denial of Service threat landscape and at CHI-NOG 07 about the Hidden Face of the Darknet. In his spare time, he studies security and risk analysis while helping other understand the risks involved with modern technology.
