AVP Business Operations and Strategic Growth at Dealer.com, Cox Automotive




Tony leads the operations teams at Dealer.com, a digital marketing solution provider that powers websites, advertising, agency services and ecommerce solution for over 14,000 automotive dealers. His team leads various aspects of operations including business readiness, training, analytics, retention analysis, partnerships, thought leadership, and back-end systems.

He also helps sets the vision and drives execution on strategic, initiatives helping Cox Automotive transform the way cars are bought and sold. His role requires him to understand and influence all aspects of the business including product, finance, marketing, sales, operations, and business development. He serves as the liaison between Dealer.com and the Cox Automotive strategic planning group.

During his nine years at Cox Automotive, Tony has served in various leadership roles across Autotrader, Kelley Blue Book, and the Media Division. Some of his responsibilities have included acquisition integrations, product strategy, strategic operations, OEM advertising products, integration with dealership inventory systems, mobile experiences, Hispanic market products, and corporate innovation.

Prior to joining Autotrader, he spent his entire career working in startup environments and was very active in the Atlanta high-tech community for over a decade. He assisted hundreds of startup companies in the Internet, software and telecommunications space with business planning, product strategy, and industry connections while leading the internationally-recognized technology incubator at Georgia Tech.

Tony was one of the founding members of Fizzion, a unique university/corporate incubation partnership with The Coca-Cola Company. As Director of Incubator Operations at Fizzion, he worked with entrepreneurs on matching their offerings with corporate needs.

Prior to working at Georgia Tech, he was the founder of Netgain, a startup company that created the first generation of web-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. Netgain was acquired by Firstwave.

He also started the first Internet initiatives at ADAM Software, a startup company that went public and later became adam.com.

Tony received his bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Georgia Tech and his MBA from Georgia State. He lives in Marietta with his wife, Shay, and children William, Drew, and Phoebe.
